The desire for deary office routine

Bunsen Goetz Gallery, Nuremberg presents starting from 24th of March ExcelArt by Oleksiy Say (Kiev).
 

The Excel spreadsheet application is the tool of Oleksiy Say, one of the most renowned representatives of contemporary computer art in Eastern Europe. The in 1975 born Ukrainian artist has programmed a tool to translate xls-files, used in existing companies, into colorful, large-format images of the daily office grind.

Microsoft Germany recognized the underlying political power of his works and devoted a large exhibition to Say at its headquarters in Berlin in 2016. In the Ukraine, actually a country situated in a war, an efficient working day symbolized by Excel, is not even thinkable. There people long for functioning business processes - after the horror, the stress and the boredom of an 9 to 5 office week.

Under the title „Lost or Found“,  Oleksiy Say will present his newest artworks at the Bunsen Goetz Gallery, Kressenstrasse 11, 90419 Nuremberg, www.bunsengoetz.de from March 24th to June 15th. In addition to the new Excel Art never shown before, also a three-dimensional installation will be exhibited for the first time.

For the opening at March 24th at 7 p.m. the government of Ukraine is represented by the consul general Vadym Kostiuk, who will do the opening speech. Oleksiy Say will be present at the Vernissage of course.
